We visited Caddo Lake last year and spent some time in Uncertain, Texas, took a boat tour of the lake, and learned how it was formed. Such an unusual history.

He flew very fast and very low........I live in a metroplex and had literally never seen one before.....they are very tall! Also, EVERY BIRD IN EVERY TREE lining the creek departed en masse, VERY LOUDLY, so I figured that dude must be a threat to them

I went for a walk at a local seaside park and took this from 10 feet away. He seemed unperturbed by the local pedestrian traffic. Yesterday I got my first picture of an alligator at another local park but the alligator was almost totally obscured by a combination of greater distance and the natural camouflage of rippling reflections of vegetation surrounding the stream.
