(26,673 posts)In the summertime, for some strange reason, Lizzie loves to lunge at our screen doors and windows. Unfortunately, her claws get stuck from time to time. I was lucky enough to have my phone handy on one such occasion and managed to grab this pic!

(39,769 posts)That spiky ball is her bestest favorite toy. She has gone through 4 or 5 of them. Not unlike Shadow and her Jolly ball!

(22,647 posts)George McGovern was kind and posted my photo of my canary Tango. I wanted it to be in the contest because I love my canaries, Tango no more than Ludwig, Roma, and DannyBoy, the other three. I just wanted to share the photo but couldn't make the post.work.
I am in bed with a broken vertebra (hopefully soon to be fixed) and also had eye shots yesterday for wet macular degeneration. Everything was and still is blurry, including my brain
I tried to make a Post-images link in my usual way. It did not work. I even paid them for a year, and it still did not work. George was so kind to enter my photo; kindness is what I needed most.
Help me get well by understanding.
I love the entries, I love the contests. And I love and need you guys.
The show must go on.

Canaries are expensive. I took part in a Tango and movement study that paid for participation. I used the money to buy him. Hence the name.

When I was just born in the last year of World War II in Germany, my parents would cycle out of town during air raids, put the basket with me in it into a ditch, and set the canary cage on top. I learned about that only about 10 years ago, and until then, I had no idea why I had a canary wherever I lived for my entire life.

Thanks for reading about these bits of history. and why I could not manage to post my photo.
