(43,571 posts)I remember very well. This little guy showed up right after the disastrous election and made me feel better for a couple of weeks taking care of him. The sugar water and the feeder kept freezing, here in this picture hes sitting in the dried up hibiscus bush. He really didnt belong here, especially not at that time of year, but they are occasionally seen in the east

(33,041 posts)was taken walking the 17th Century village of Culross in Scotland. Fans (like me!)of the books/TV series Outlander would recognize it as the village of Crainesmuir, home to Geillis Duncan, near Castle Leoch. Culross is a lovely little village.

(26,553 posts)I love going for walks at night. Especially in the Fall where the brightly colored leaves seem to glow under the light of the moon. Usually, the photos I take fail to capture the beauty of the leaf canopy. But I think this one does it justice. I guess you just get lucky once in a while!
