Pure Americana: Badlands National Park

Interesting thing I realized about the badlands earlier this year as I was driving back and forth across Montana and both Dakotas is that the actual badlands features extend all the way to the Rocky Mountains. They narrow for much of the distance but if you travel I-94across the two states, it is hard not to notice.
I did actually see a few groups of American Bison in the Theodore Roosevelt NP back in April, that was something I thought I'd never see. As a once upon a time lobbyist for their well being, it was very rewarding.
