(155,082 posts)The tree is manmade and a tribute to the sea and its creatures (I think!). It caught my eye today.

(23,957 posts)Love the sunflower as Ive adopted it in support of Ukraine 🇺🇦
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,082 posts)You have figured out one of my post-processing secrets . . . as if!
I've discovered that upping the contrast can often help define the photo better. It doesn't always work, but when it does! It's great.
I feel the same about the sunflowers and my support for Ukraine.

(9,145 posts)Better than ours. Flying back to the Gulf Coast after a month in the much cooler Pacific NW. The Portland Airport is being remodeled, so the hike from returning the rent car, to ticketing, and the gate of departure seemed like the Bataan Death March.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,082 posts)That hike sure did sound way too strenuous. Hope you can rest when you get home.

(155,082 posts)I didn't know torture could be wonderful . . .
JMCKUSICK
(3,883 posts)all the stuff I don't have access to here, it qualifies as torture. Wonderful, drool worthy, yummy torture. I told my roomie just a few moments ago that if I was where you are, I'd be flat broke all the time because your farmers markets would drain me lol.
Thank you.

CaliforniaPeggy
(155,082 posts)Maybe I should post a warning: Please eat something before proceeding!
It really is a remarkable market.
bucolic_frolic
(52,343 posts)I should venture further afield here, we have Amish markets, maybe not quite the array of vegetables but they have baked goods, herbs and spices, home made ice creams, roast chicken, pork.
Thanks, CaliforniaPeggy, you're doing just fine!

(155,082 posts)I always shop there even though I rarely photograph anything they have. I have a lot of berry photos! But today I caught a glimpse of the scene you see here, and I had to photograph it!
Glad you enjoyed!

Love your cropping on the pale green flowers.
The pastries and sandwiches are making me humgry!
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,082 posts)Our summer hasn't been very hot--yet! I just wanted to show something a little different today, and that tree was right where I was walking.
I was mesmerized by the pale green flowers. I had to post both of them since I liked them so much!
The pastries and sandwiches are just to die for!
