(3,145 posts)We oldtimers remember how much effort it used to take with actual film, either an SLR or disposables when they came out.
I wish we had digital cameras when I was a kid, there would be so many more images to treasure.
Thank you, Peggy!
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)I wasn't much of a photographer until I got my first digital camera, back 2005 or 2006. Then the world opened up and I never looked back!

(3,145 posts)And look at you now!

(39,399 posts)I actually walked the mile round-trip, it was a struggle. Its the first Ive done in a while. You know arthritis.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)I wouldn't have been able to walk that mile round-trip! I would have been collapsed somewhere along the way.
Never mind having the energy to get that lovely photo besides! It simply speaks Spring to all of us.

(6,054 posts)I like the shadows cast on the mural of the Manhattan Beach Pier.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)The shadows were certainly interesting. A brisk, sunny early spring day that I was glad to see!

(36,533 posts)Im always amazed how you seek out new and different images each time. The first one i especially like!
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)I'm always looking for the new, the uniquely different things that we love to see. It can be a challenge but it sure wasn't today!
The dates and the flowers were new and I was thrilled to see them.
Easterncedar
(4,213 posts)Those flowers do look, as the saying goes, like the earth laughing. Joyously.
I can almost see spring coming round my corner.
Thanks, Peggy!
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)Spring is announcing its presence more and more vigorously every day. I feel very fortunate to be able to get out and capture its photo.

(4,213 posts)Spreading light is a very good and healing thing you do, Peggy.
Just think: I am smiling at you from the northeast corner of the US. Thats a good distance for happiness to travel. You did that.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)But remember, it takes two to really make happiness, especially over such long distances.

CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)I surely understand that level of busy. That means that when you finally get a chance to catch your breath, your friends will be so very glad to see you.

(4,357 posts)Just kidding, but these pics could be framed and hung in a gallery....
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)That would be such an uplifting place to visit.

(153,435 posts)Sometimes there's so much to see that I scarcely have time to lower my camera from my eyes!
Today was like that.

(123,138 posts)photos are today, a reminder that spring and beauty are here. Actual equinox last night, official on Thursday.. But the wind is so bad here these last three days I was barely able to take out the trash! But I look at your photos, and all is well. Thank you.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)And to think that my photos can help relieve you of that stress! I'm very glad they helped.

Glad you enjoyed my photos.

(38,802 posts)So much of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food has never caught on as it should in the US ... we go for processed, dairy fat-enriched and soy meal "food" instead.
Give me dates, olives, and pistachios any day.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,435 posts)They looked wonderful.
This vendor is new to the Market; I hope he'll continue. He was handing out free samples! Nothing quite like getting a scrumptious date to make you want to buy a whole lot more!
