Have always made sure when I would change medium ( album to tape. Tape to CD etc) that Silk Degrees was the first I'd get changed over. Always in the car and the house.

Wanted to post the album too, but the only full album I could find was a shuffle. You don't get away from the ads that way.

Titles too, but I guess not. There's this one too that I remember my Dad singing.

Titles cannot be registered for copyright, only compositions. For example, a fast search of the BMI catalog (representing about 40% of American songs) shows there are over 1,000 songs titled, "I Love You!"

The writing of music and/or lyrics instantly creates statutory copyright. Most writers and publishers then register the compositions with the Library of Congress which will then issue a Certificate of Copyright. It's really a simple process.

Interestingly, it's the copyright owners' responsibility to enforce their intellectual property. If someone uses your music without permission (and hopefully a payment!), it's up to you to file a legal claim of illegal use and/or plagiarism.

Copyright, patents and trademarks are guaranteed within the U.S. Constitution!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

I guess that the same for reporters and their stories too. The outlet that publishes their work creates the title. Same article in different sources could have different titles.

Yes you have a nice memorial day too.
