The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon (1966)

youtube:

It's worth being old now to have been young then

I met Ray Davies and asked him how long it took to write this song. He replied "That one? About 20 minutes". For real.

Just give me a timemachine and I can finally be happy again.

It was absolutely fantastic!!!

If you're a Kinks fan (as I've been for 45 years) or just like classic rock, it's well worth the price of admission. The play is a dramatization of the Kinks early years, but the actors (with additional musicians on the side) perform many of the Kinks best songs. It was a joyous rock concert that can bring you to tears and up on your feet shouting for more.

God Save The Kinks!
