If you grew up with this music you were a very lucky individual.
Im 68 and my mother bought me a cassette recorder/player & this cassette by Sugar Loaf. We didnt have money. It was my 16th birthday & we walked to the store & she surprised me. I played Green Eyed Lady a million times. I still have them.

Also, that song was the theme to a show that used to come on WAVY-10 in Hampton Roads, VA every Saturday night. I used to watch it religiously.

(7,960 posts)All they had to do was fill in between the movie breaks and do a little intro and outro for the show. The fact that they did this was just genius and there were many pre-teen and teen kids who watched his show every Saturday night, just as, in their younger days, they watched cartoons on Saturday morning.
(Yours truly even got in trouble a few times for staying up past midnight when I was 11-12. They gave up once I hit 13. LOL.)
