Temptation

My 8 yr old grandson's birthday party was today.
At a roller rink called Skate Country.

When I was a kid, we spent considerable winter time ice skating.

Ocassionally we would go, as a group, 20 miles north to a wodden roller rink.

After my children were born in Tucson, we lived near a roller rink called Skate Country.

We spent not a few hours there, and my kids would often walk the two blocks to spend a few hours.

All that was about thirty years ago.

So today, I had the chance to skate again.

I'm 75 years old and not quite as steady on my feet as in years gone by.

The temptation was immense.

2. Actually, I resisted temptation and didn't skate.

the husband got on ice skates a few years ago when we took the kids for a session. cracked a rib.

I am WAY too much of a doofus for ice or roller skates. hell, can barely use my feets by themselves.

4. It seems like every year I add to the list of things not to do.
