Coffee and listening to my boy 21 jam with Skynrd at the Fox theater.

The usual old man dyslexic bad punctuation ramble warning.
On the front porch drinking coffee with Dunc the golden furry boy who is licking the wood post on the porch railing. I guess month old wood stain tastes great.
My boy twenty one is in the family room live at the Fox Theater.
In my mind as i listen to my boy i know exactly where he is at on the fretboard with every note. Up on stage with Albert and Gary and Ronnie.
Dude is using an 1 watt Marshall tube , one dumble clone pedal that pushes those humbuckers into sonic sweetness playing our Les Paul reborn a Tokai.
A guitar I bought in 85 off a fellow soldier who needed cash to go out drinking.
Yet as I sit here at age sixty. I’m smiling as i remember as a young kid perhaps twelve in age then figuring out this same album in my bedroom.
They just started playing searching and I’ll take this time to escape from the reality of our situation just for now.

The Charlie Daniel Band opened for them.

At 17, it was an eye-opening experience.

Poor out-of-state college student. Pooled our money, bought a six pack and sat outside the Fox listening to the show what we could hear of it.

Is greeted by a reply of "Freebird" from the crowd on the old live album, as you probably know. And IIRC Ronnie says "play it pretty for Atlanta" at some point in the song as well.

So I was answering the question from the post I replied to
