I've been listening to Sherlock Holmes audio stories all week
I think I'm learning to tell if I'm listening to AI generated stories. One of the Holmes' stories described an arch criminal's attempt to tunnel under Baker St, and from there up into Holmes and Watson's sitting room. Fine, but every original story depicts their quarters as being at least a floor above the street.
I listened to one today, and although the culprit had had their wrists manacled and had been locked in their room, when Holmes and Watson entered to interview them, the perp. had removed their jacket and folded it neatly over a chair. And sat quietly, manacled hands folded together in front of him. Oh yeah? I can see Harry Houdini managing shedding a coat, but not a a common criminal.
I haven't read an original Sherlock Holmes story in many years, but I can't remember any glaring consistencies or loose ends. Many of these stories are eliciting out loud sarcastic remarks because of the poor construction. Oh well, Keeps me company
