How could I not?

His office was part of our house. Six nurses. Waiting room full of patients. House smelled like alcohol.

I just didn't know what a mechanic was. He would work on the cars at home and I'd help while he taught me too. But I didn't know that was what a mechanic did. I thought he was just taking care of the car, like cleaning the house and stuff.
