You know you're still young when

you can go up the stairs as quickly as you go down them.

You know you’re getting older when you go up the stairs more slowly than down.

You know you’re getting really old when you go down the stairs more slowly than you go up them. (My current status.)

I’m really not looking forward to a fourth stage, whatever that may be…..

I'm *almost* like this guy walking down the stairs.

Also, comedian Vic Dibitetto had a comedy routine when he turned 60, where he says "If it's like this now, what the hell is it going to like when I turn 70"!!

4. I'm 69. I go REALLY slow going down the stairs. Especially when my hands are full of my equipment.

Because my knees failed separately within a week of each other in November 2024 following other Lyme Disease symptoms. I assume it was a relapse due to stress because it's an unlikely month for tick bites and I was hit with a double-whammy early in that month: I learned I was being laid off and you can guess the other whammy.
