Ethiopia I had no idea

I'm watching a video about this country. I had no idea that Ethiopia has so much human history, so much architecture. Utterly amazing!

and a little about Haile Selassie.

I've been interested in paleontology since I was a teen. Wasn't into politics and world leaders until my later years.

We visited a former exchange student in Brazil and I was stunned that my courses in art history were so euro-centric and missed so many artists from other parts of the world. It makes sense that other subjects are likewise ignored.

Being exposed to the environmental, economic, and cultural elements of that society was a tremendous educational experience.
