...The display at the Museum of Fine Arts at Bayou Bend in Houston, Texas, featured 570 gingerbread houses.
The artist, Jon Lovitch, said he spends an entire year drafting, designing, baking, planning, building and decorating his creations, which are unveiled annually in cities around the country.
His work has earned him four years in a row of recognition as a Guinness World Record holder for "largest entirely edible gingerbread village."
Members of the public were invited to take pieces of the display home free of charge.
