Got up, fed the kitty, took my pills. I did dishes last night, so I had to put them away before I got to my coffee pot. While I drank my first cup, I paid some bills online. After coffee, I wanted an omelet, but had to grate some cheese before I put it together. Got out my grater and a plate. I didn't grate all of the cheese at the time, set it aside to get to later. I had coffee and breakfast, and then paid the credit card. I noticed a renewal charge for a service we signed up for years ago, and haven't used for years. Every year I mean to cancel it, but forget to get to it. I went to find the password, but the kitty wanted to be fed again, so I went to the kitchen. Oh yeah, the cheese. I grated the rest of the block, and got all of that rinsed and out of the way. The kitty needed fresh water, too. After that detour, I went to my bedroom to check my stash of old passwords. Luckily what I needed was in a box where I keep the older ones, reminders of all that enthusiasm when the net started up Did I mention I had to tear my bedroom apart to find the box? And then, of course I noticed that I need to dust and vacuum that room and maybe rearrange it! This is how projects begin around here. Lots of good intentions, lots of detours. The devil on my shoulder says I technically have a year to cancel the service. Right now, I need a break!

(20,700 posts)and say, "Maybe our ship came in." When my kids were little, I'd get the mail and say the same thing. One day, my older daughtered watched me look through the mail and asked me if our ship had come in. I wouldn't trade those years for anything.
