They aren't really hairless; they have sort of peach fuzz - but no fur to keep warm with.

Much as I adore cats, I don't think I would want a Sphinx cat.

I got to pet one at a cat show; she felt like warm suede. And I was told that the breed is very, very friendly, always wanting a lap to sit on. It's probably just as much for the warmth as for the love. They're cute in a weird way, but it seems wrong to breed for a negative mutation. Cats shouldn't need to have human-provided clothing when nature offers them better coats of their own.
