There was a great Emu war of 1932 and the Emu's won.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/Emu-War
Emu War, military operation to address the issue of emus, large flightless birds, damaging large amounts of crops in Western Australia. The campaign lasted from November to December 1932. Three members of the Royal Australian Artillery were assigned to cull roughly 20,000 emus using machine guns. The assignment was made in response to petitions from local farmers complaining of emus destroying their crops. After two months, fewer than 1,000 emus were reported killed. The failure was the subject of national and international ridicule.

Interesting. Here, we'd just offer gunners free bullets and turn them loose. Silent Type 20 hrs ago #1

I used to read encyclopedias. My husband right after our daughter was born was caught by a door to door encyclopedia salesman and bought a set. So of course I had to read them so I could feel the money was not wasted. Turned out my daughter read them too.

But that must have been where I read about this.

More than one, although at first I didn't remember which ones and I had to search-engine it to be sure. As it turns out, at minimum "Lions Led by Donkeys" and "Stuff You Missed in History Class."

And I used to read a lot of weird books and almanacs ( like information please) so I wonder if it may have been in one of those books. In my mind I see it in print, so I know I read it.

If we are not careful they will take over. I mean the IQ of them has to be twice that of your average MAGA and look how worried we are about what they are doing. Jesus if the Emu's get it together, you fucking know full well that if the Roberts supreme dorks get a Emu case in front of the they will rule for them. We have to be vigilant.
Of course this is and just having fun, no, MAGA is much worse in every way. But really if those weird birds decided to start some shit I dont think it would go well for us. I mean, bullets just bounced off some of them. " This highlighted a further problem: emus have tough hides, and thus a glancing bullet from a machine gun rarely led to death or severe injury." https://www.britannica.com/topic/Emu-War
So, the more you know.

Preferable. Her medical bills have to outweigh the profit made from raising emus.

But, yeah, that Emu has wrecked her a few times.
