A young dentist pulled my molar 25 years ago and left 2 roots. They finally got infected. I now go to a great periodontist. He took out the 2 roots, rebuilt my bone and tissue. I have upper dentures, just got them, they weren't made right, he realigned them.
The part I hated was all of the fishing line stitches. It took him 2 hours and 15 minutes.
I am friends with the surgeon and he knows I don't have insurance so he cut me a break, $1,865.00
Wonder what it costs with insurance?
The worst part was having to listen to country and western music on the radio.

(36,466 posts)I had a root canal 2 years ago. But your procedure beats mine for time spent, money spent, and the complicated procedure. My periodontist looked so young, like he just graduated from high school. But he did a fabulous job.
My regular dentist, who says hes going to retire soon, plays country and western music on the radio in his office, too!

(11,185 posts)Enduring the C & W music is worth it - my last dental surgery cost 3x that much!

(12,041 posts)Yeah, that's a good price.
I had all my upper teeth pulled and replaced with implants/dentures a few years ago.
Total price, out the door. $27,000.
