It is never-ending. I used to love to peruse subject lines of DU's latest posts...

One right after another... more mind-bending and frightening horror from these a'holes.

How is everyone doing? I just downloaded a biofeedback (breathing) app to try to keep me centered...And of course my 5 AM (VERY COLD, SNOWY) hikes with the pup each morning.

If you have suggestions for everyone along this line, please post them. It's a marathon we're looking at...

Maybe watch cottage core type videos of people living the simple life. I like videos of this older gentleman living alone in Siberia.

Escapism I guess.

Watching those is a waste of time, I suppose, but at least I’m not turning to booze or something like that.

I feel calmer when I am immersed in those videos.

One geopolitics analyst that I watch (Paul Warburg on YouTube) had a video yesterday about Siberia being very vulnerable to Chinese invasion. He speculated that China might be making such a big flap about retaking Taiwan when they secretly covet retaking portions of Russia that used to belong to them.

Warburg's rationale is that Russia has been heavily recruiting men from Siberian villages to go to war in Ukraine, which means that relatively sparsely-populated area of the country would be even easier to conquer, and Russia's forces have been weakened overall by war.

Maybe he's off the mark, but it makes for an interesting proposition.

Other than DU, I pretty much avoid all broadcast news except a select couple on msnbc AND Stephanie Miller. She expresses the same exasperation as I feel and doesn't hold back. There is also some dark humor about the current disaster.
