Our local Kroger's has about 10 different flavors of Maria Calander pies. But no cheesecakes. I used to love Sara Lee cheesecakes when I was a kid. Is it no longer popular?

(37,311 posts)My guess would be that they are expensive to make, so they are expensive to sell, and so people choose to buy an alternative.
Whole Foods still sells them.

(25,082 posts)I'll bet they're expensive to make. That said, Costco sells them for a ridiculously low price. It's probably another item like the roasted chickens that they lose money on.
