i bought a pair if sketchers a while back.

somewhat dissapointed with them, easy on , easy off , not for me. i use my long shoe horn or my finger to get them on. once on , nice and comfertable to wear.

My current pair of slip-ins has a tough-yet-flexible heel that allows putting them on while standing up. Plus, I can jump out of them any time I want.

I'm on my second pair and other than being easy to slip-on/off, I think my New Balance sneakers are better. Both shoes cost about the same and the New Balance shoes last longer. My problem with the Sketchers are the back of the shoe just above the heel wears out fast. The other problem is sometimes the sole leaves scuff marks on my kitchen floor.

They're like a cross between shoes and slippers. I wear them around the house, then go out grocery shopping in them.

I held off because I thought they were “old people” shoes but then realized I AM old. I stuck with running shoes all these years because they’re lightweight and comfy, but a crooked toe always wears out the mesh in the same spot. I got 3 pair that are wearable except for the hole in the mesh in all the same spots. The Sketchers leather goes up a little higher on the side so I’m hoping for the best. Not as comfy as I was expecting but i like the slip on feature - so far so good.

but I like to take 3 - 4 mile walks and I don't know how well they would work. I wonder if any shoe company will put and BOA lacing system. I have the BOA lacing on my bowling shoes and it takes me two seconds to tighten my shoes. The BOA system works with a round know at the top of the lace holes. Push the knob down and twist to tighten. Pull the knob up and twist to loosen. It's especially useful if, after a while, the shoe becomes too tight or loose because you can fix it in two second.
