Trump heads to Camp David as Iran talks falter

WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump will make a rare trip to Camp David this weekend, returning to the presidential ‌retreat for only the second time since retaking office last year.

Trump ‌will hold policy and political meetings during his visit, a White House official said. His family ​will travel with him for the weekend, which includes Father's Day on Sunday.

The trip comes as Trump works to secure a final agreement to end the war with Iran and faces scrutiny over a provisional peace deal that critics say grants ‌Tehran too many concessions.

U.S.-Iran ⁠talks in Switzerland planned for Friday were canceled as fighting flared in Lebanon, creating new uncertainty about the timing of negotiations vital ⁠to ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to global shipping and restoring peace in the Middle East.

12. Last time Trump was scheduled

to go to Camp David, was on the same day as one of mystery hospital visits. There were suggestions that it woulds be a good place to hide him to recover from whatever treatment he had received - believed to be some sort of infusion (bruised hands). Changes in schedule were not addressed other than to say the president had changed his mind - the manner that news was given in, may - or may not have hinted at a rather put out staff.
Regardless, for it to be scheduled again so soon makes me wonder if something is going on? There is relatively little in the way of facilities there. it is very much designed for meetings and summits. Logically he should be at Mar a largo now more than ever, drumming up cash and support for the midterms. According to Google, he hasn't been there since the end of March.
Are they hiding him - or is he hiding himself? He can do short appearances, friendly interviews and "cabinet meetings". He is far moe frequently sitting on camera now?
Is he on his way out ?
