TMZ wants travelers to submit photos they take of U.S. lawmakers on vacation “at your expense” as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown impacting Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers stretches into its 42nd day.Harvey Levin, TMZ’s executive producer, made the request to “everybody in our audience right now” in a video posted on the social platform X.

“If anybody goes to Disney World with their family for spring break or goes to a beach somewhere or anywhere on vacation, and you see one of the 535 members of Congress, take a picture and send it to us at TMZ,” Levin said. “We will post that picture on our website, on our social media and we will put it on our television shows,” he continued. “We want to show what they are doing at your expense, and we want everybody to hear that and we are waiting for those pictures.”

Prior to TMZ posting the video, the outlet shared photos and video of senators leaving Reagan Washington National Airport. The outlet shared a submitted photo of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on a flight out of Washington, D.C., Friday. Another photo shows Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) leaving an escalator at National Airport Thursday night.

TMZ also shared a video from Fox News of Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) at National Airport on Friday. He said “we’ll see” if the House would pass the Senate’s bill.

One needs to ask the Congressperson why they are here and not in Washington doing their jobs.

Like... over and over. One does not need to be aggressive about it. Just keep on asking it to the air if the person has managed to surround themselves with goons or whatnot.

Just keep asking. Why are you here and not doing what we elected you to do? Remind them that your boss would not be anywhere near as lenient as the American public has been with these slackers and overblown gas bags. Ask them why that is allowed?

Don't let up. Like I said, ask the air around them if they won't engage. It's not like they can tell you to be silent.

I'd like to say that everyone should do this, whether or not they send it to TMZ. There are plenty of places to post such photos.

Plenty of places.
