Columbia University has cut ties with administrators they say helped admit Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend to its dental school through “an irregular process”.

Documents released by the US Justice Department as part of the Epstein files appear to show that Karyna Shuliak had initially applied to attend the Ivy League college’s dental school in 2012 but was rejected.

A few weeks later, according to emails, there appeared to be plans for Shuliak, a Belarusian national who had been studying at the Belarusian State Medical University, to enroll as a “transfer student”.

After Shuliak, then aged 22, was admitted, Epstein gave $100,000 to a public-health project run by Lamster, the dean of the dental college. Then in 2014, he gave $50,000 to the dental school’s annual fund.

A CV for Shuliak released in the files stated her address was 6100 Red Hook Quarter in the Virgin Islands, which was the headquarters of the Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation.

It stated that she studied at the Belarusian State Medical University from 2006 to 2010 before enrolling at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine in New York, where she graduated in 2015. A separate email from the dean of Columbia indicates that she did not finish her studies in Minsk, but had sought to do so in New York in 2012.

She later worked as a dentist at a practice she owned on St Thomas in the Virgin Islands, according to her CV. St Thomas is adjacent to Little St James, the private island owned by Epstein. She also worked as an executive assistant for Southern Trust Company, which has been identified as Epstein’s “main money-making company”.

And Epstein helped fast-track her dentistry license. Since he died in 2019, I'm guessing that licensure happened a while back.

Also says she returned to Columbia for some dentistry-related education courses but left Columbia last year. Whether that resulted in another degree or certification or not, the article doesn't say.

Apparently she finished school in NY. But I doubt she practices, since he bequeathed $100 million to her.
