Mike Johnson dismisses concern over Trump's private meme coin dinner, says the president does everything out in the open
Source: Business Insider
House Speaker Mike Johnson brushed off concerns on Sunday about President Donald Trump's private meme coin dinner, arguing that the president does "everything out in the open."
While speaking with CNN's Jake Tapper, Johnson said he had no knowledge of the private dinner, which raised concerns from some lawmakers over conflicts of interest and whether attendees were seeking to sway Trump on cryptocurrency policy.
When Johnson was asked about the lack of disclosure regarding the list of attendees at the meme coin dinner, the speaker said the president had "nothing to hide."
"President Trump is the most transparent president in the most transparent administration, probably in history," he said.

(5,867 posts)The crimes are in our face. The lies are blatant. The destruction of our government and economy are being reported on. Johnson means he can see it as well as we can. Lack of transparency isn't the problem. The willingness of the felon's supporters to shut their eyes to his crimes is the problem.

(25,802 posts)open? That's good thing? Fuck you, Mike Johnson. Along with wreaking vengeance on political enemies, unconstitutionally deporting immigrants, and threatening to impeach any judge who makes a decision he disagrees with? This has got to stop.

(890 posts)private dinners for the people bribing him and picking the press members for the Whitehouse and not providing the Felons daily schedules or claiming that anything done outside of the Whitehouse is his personal time or providing the courts with supporting evidence for policies that are deemed illegal or at the very least, suspect.
I could go on and on and on, but I think we understand Johnson's position. A true follower of Christ.
A beacon of morality.

(5,568 posts)see nor understand that what he said is not only the absolute truth... that trump is doing right out in the open... but that THAT'S what makes it so infuriating when we know full well it's illegal and what would happen to us if we did anything 1/10 of what he does. It's enraging, and I don't care how much the magats laugh. We WILL have the last laugh as we all point and at them saying, in unison, "We told you so!"
