Stellantis has said it is temporarily laying off 900 workers across five U.S. facilities following the announcement of sweeping tariffs from President Donald Trump, Reuters reported.

other people. If anything they go to a junior college in their community. Never really mixing with other cultures and life styles. Whatever biases they had when leaving high school they end up with when entering the workforce.

In my life the union members I have known, if they were liberal in their mindset it just meant they were just not card carrying members of the John Birch Society. Maybe this is how the 1%ers plan on destroying the unions, from within.

You learn about culture by working next to people of all different cultures united in class solidarity. You sometimes trust them with your lives. I have a masters and I’m a union member. I have learned more from eating lunch with my coworkers than I have from cultural anthropology 101.

and data work around CWA, IBEW and plumbers and pipefitters. Naturally all male and all white. Before that did computer work in South Arkansas for the refinerys and the chemical plants. Some union, but most not members. Still mainly white and male.

So I have no reference to unions at big places. I did start my work like with AT&*T Western Electric and spent 2 years in NYC during the Viet nam war. Got my lights turned off by one of the IBEW phone guys (I was CWA) for being a COMMIE. This was really before the affirmative action with Bell, so there were no multi racial people or women.

...or that you lack the ability to research. I went to a junior college and I've been predicting this scenario for more than 2 decades.
