Marco Rubio humiliated by tiny red carpet rolled out as he lands in Canada for G7

Source: Irish Star

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in Quebec, Canada, for two days of talks with the top diplomats of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan - all of whom have been angered by the new American president's policies

By Yelena Mandenberg 10:19 ET, MAR 13 2025

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to face a potentially hostile reception from his counterparts at the G7 Foreign Ministers meeting this week, and that may be evident by the tiny red carpet rolled out in his honor.

Rubio arrived at the G7 Summit in the picturesque Quebec town of La Malbaie on the St. Lawrence River, and the Canadians - now in a trade war with the U.S. thanks to Trump - rolled out a red carpet they thought would be perfect for one of Trump's team members.
................
The tiny carpet can be seen in photos greeting him as he descends the stairs of the airplane.

A tweet featuring the photo surfaced, with a user captioning it: "I can't sleep either. I'm trying to find things to laugh at like this tiny red carpet they put out for Rubio when he arrived for the G7."....................

From Wikipedia:

Richard Ellis Uihlein (/ˈjuːlaɪn/ YOO-lyne;[1] born 1945) and Elizabeth Uihlein are American billionaire businesspeople, founders of Uline and right-wing donors.[2] Richard Uihlein is also an heir to the Schlitz brewing fortune.[3]

Personally, however, I think it should have been a big red necktie.

I figured they didn’t want to give any money to the Nazis. I used to buy supplies from Uline several years ago, before I found out. Now I recycle their massive catalogs, which they keep sending after I’ve asked them many times to stop. Thinking about making a swastika out of one and mailing it back to them...

I would just have given the crew a ball of red yarn, held one end, and let the ball roll down all the way to tarmac, leaving one string of red yarn for Rubio to walk on. "Sorry, Mr. Secretary, it's all we had on such short notice."

like Hobby Lobby or Toys R Us to wipe your snowy, muddy feed on when you come into the store from a slushy parking lot in the winter.

That said, it was too good for him.

How about a 2 by 3 foot carpet sample?
