How do term limits help us? We already have term limits - it's called elections. The Republicans are fine with electing any old seat warmer to rubber stamp their agenda. Term limits won't hurt them. In a two party system, anything that does not hurt them cannot help us.

She's for term limits? Something that will never pass anyway? She's a good candidate.

Of course not. I fully support her candidacy. I don't think we should push term limits, that's all.

What's wrong with elected Democrats in Congress controlling the rules and the purse? Imposing term limits does not solve the problems of campaign finance (legalized bribery), the "revolving door" phenomenon, gerrymandering, and the influence of lobbyists. It may well exacerbate those problems.

But the bigger question is this: why can't I vote for my choice, incumbent or not? Term limits means that after some arbitrary period of time I can no longer vote for my candidate of choice.

have been here for nine thousand years, from my Native America History university classes that I took around 1999-2000. Of course a candidate could say they have been there for a 1,000 years. I don't know their party, but they could very easily have an Alaskan history of 1,000 years. (Oral, or artifacts that have been handed to down family to family.)

The problem with politics is the money and it wasn't always this big of a problem. Get the money out!!!! Get it out of the elections! Senators, Congressmen, Presidents and Supreme Court Judges should not be able to become mutil millioniares and billionaires just by holding office. And multi millionaires and billionaires should not be allowed to "rig" our elections.
