A letter from a customer (lightly condensed):
I volunteer. Once a week, on Sundays, we bake fresh hot (from scratch) pizzas to serve to houseless, underserved, or just plain hungry people in the park. It is the best day of the week for all of us. Rain or shine, holiday or not, we are out there having lunch with our community.
One day I brought some extra spice blends and people got so excited! It had not occurred to me that people would be so hyped to season their food, and in hindsight I am a little embarrassed about that.
I am currently out of work and have been since February. I am also disabled and struggling financially which has made it so I cannot go buy more seasoning for our dinners. It's a huge bummer because it made such an impact. I am writing to ask for a donation of seasonings or mixes. Sample packs so people can take them with them, bottles that we can set out for community use, or anything at all.
When you don't have a home, you don't have a kitchen and that means you don't have a spice rack or a pantry. If you are able to help we'd be so grateful! If not (in this economy), I completely understand, and I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
