A very simple message to voters in every state in the Union:

"The Republican Platform for the 2026 Mid-term Election is litetally to be a "Protection Program" for Trump and fellow Republicans."

These are the actual words of Speaker of the House, a man 3rd in line to the presidency.

So if you are struggling with high grocery prices, high gasoline costs, day care expenses, a low wage, and cuts to social programs that YOU PAID INTO, the Republicans answer is to do nothing and protect elected criminals.

Is that what you want?

Because the MAGAt base are hoping the protection program extends to them. I, for one, will never forgive and never forget and want full accountability when the putrid dust of the obliterated MAGAt movement settles into history.

The video of his speech is quite disturbing. We are clearly in the midst of a second coming of McCarthyism — with evangelicals as its vanguard.

It’s actually quite unnerving. They are going all in on “communists” and government take over of corporations if Democrats become the majority.

We better be prepared and have some party cohesion about “Communists” running for Congress — and the answer to that isn’t attacking progressives or even self branded Democratic Socialists in our party ourselves. That’ll get us exactly where Gaza got us in 2024.

I was fortunate enough to have grown up in a time when revolutionary changes took place in America (60s) - Medicare, Civil rights, women's rights, Vietnam War protests, the “Pill”, amazing music - a time when college was affordable, rent was reasonable, 30% of jobs were Union, etc.

All of these are under attack now...since the 1980s, the GOP has consistently prioritized corporate interests over the working class and eroded traditional social values. They pushed deregulation, lower taxes, and argued that free-market capitalism would stimulate business investment, create jobs, and offer upward mobility for workers. IT WAS ALL A LIE,

So in defense of these attacks on workers they doubled down by integrating their conservative vision of religion into politics. Instead of defending the working class they used systemic racism, so-called religious freedom, used the AIDS epidemic as a tool to attack the LGBTQ+ community.

The status quo will not fix this - we need progressive change to deal with issues that have only worsened by tolerating the GOP lies and corruption.

Republicans have become much like a mafia. Johnson was saying the quiet part out loud.
