Trump passport screw-up leaves conservative pundit speechless and MS NOW hosts laughing

I saw the trump post on new passports and laughed. The holders of these passports are being told "Welcome, but be good". The only people who get these passports are US citizens who live here already

Trump passport screw-up leaves conservative pundit speechless and MS NOW hosts laughing #RawStory

The release of a Donald Trump “commemorative” US passport, featuring an incomprehensible message from the president, baffled a conservative pundit on Saturday morning, which led to gales of laughter on MS NOW.

Before moving on to more serious topics, “The Weekend” co-host Jackie Alemany told the panel, “Let's talk about Donald Trump's new commemorative passport. This features a picture of the President leaning over scowling with his signature scowl, but it also has a new catchphrase on it. His message: ‘Welcome, but be good.’”

That led to an initial outburst of laughter and all five panelists talking over each other before conservative journalist David Drucker attempted, “I mean sure, we should all be good, whether you're coming here or not.”

“I don't — I mean, what do you do with that?” he asked before pausing, which led to another outburst of laughter.

Boston Globe columnist Kimberly Atkins Stohr interjected, “Does he understand what a passport does? A passport allows you to travel —.”

To leave the country!” co-host Eugene Daniels interrupted.

12. "Be Good" would make some sense taken like that, but it doesn't when prefaced by "Welcome"

No matter how generous one tries to be, there's no logical way to defend this stupidity.

Whoever crafted the message doesn't even understand what passports are. Whether that's literally Trump or not who knows, but at minimum, the people he's hired are freaking stupid.

Promoting his 250th year Passport, only available at the DC office.
Sort of like making it an Amusement Park passport into DC?

I'm starting to wonder if he's thinking to eventually force all DC tourists, residents and workers to get a Trump 250 passport to be able to access any Government building or the Mall after the 4th.

Wouldn't put it past this mis-administration.

If he does this, the line to get onto the DC Metro will end up out to West VA or down to Newport News...

That the message isn’t “Welcome be good and vote Republican. No dumbocrats. See everyone thinks there isn’t a b in dumb. But I am the only one who realized it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

In April, a department official said the Trump-themed passports would only be available at in-person appointments in Washington "for as long as there is availability."

The stupidest president ever thinks visitors to the U.S. get American passports. He also said that you need to show ID to buy groceries so we shouldn’t be surprised.
