Its been a particularly long week for Savannah Guthrie.
This Monday marked 100 days since the Today show stars 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie disappeared without trace from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Guthrie, 54, wore yellow to mark the occasion, a color which has become a symbol of solidarity and hope for the family. In the two months she was away searching for Nancy, her colleagues wore yellow ribbons as a symbol of hope.
If it even needs making clear, Nancy is never out of her daughters mind.
Guthrie, who was off the show Friday morning, has been holding it together but thats not to say there havent been tears. As Page Six revealed, shes gotten emotional between commercial breaks, but has been able to quickly compose herself before cameras start rolling again.

Its incredibly difficult to grasp that there have been no new viable leads, and no significant evidence beyond the doorbell camera footage. How is that even possible?

(82,267 posts)There is evidence at the home and ransom notes.
And authorities have no clue?
Seems hard to believe.

(2,195 posts)This was the perfect crime. We will never know if the ransom money would have freed Nancy.

(82,267 posts)Most people believe the kidnappers did not get the ransom.
If you are going to commit the perfect crime you need to walk away with some success.
In this regard it was a failed crime.
But we have no data to support the reason for the failure.
Some crimes are obviously botched investigations from the beginning.
We simply do not have enough data and evidence at this point to determine
whether it is indeed the perfect crime or a botched investigation.

Probably stupid enough to try the same thing again in a year or two.

(114,643 posts)That is just tortuous and something nearly impossible to fathom. Not that she could have been "disappeared" in that terrain around Tucson, but that someone somehow does not know something...
Beyond heartbreaking for all involved. I get a lump in my throat just thinking about her and the family.

(25,779 posts)what became of her mother. That is brutal.
Was it revenge of some sort against SG because she dared to interview Epstein victims.?
That seems more plausible now than it did when people were first speculating about it.
