Over a year ago 590K Americans put down $100 deposits on Trump's $499 gold phone and not a single one has shipped

Are you one of the 590,000 people who paid a $100 deposit for Donald Trump's T1 phone? If so, you may be curious to know when you'll actually get your $499 smartphone. According to new reports, the answer may be "never," since the phones haven't been put into production a year after Trump's family began collecting payments for the devices.

Now, an update to the phone's terms and conditions has some people worried they'll never even get a chance to buy one. Keep reading to learn more about what is going on with Trump's T1 phone.

Trump's Mobile Phone Has Not Shipped

A MoneyWise report says that Trump's "Made in the USA" phone has not yet gone into production. More than half a million people put down $100 deposits for the phone, which was announced Jun. 16, 2025. However, nobody has reported receiving the phone, and Trump Mobile's $ 47.45-a-month plan still says you need to bring your own phone to enroll.

The original delivery date was scheduled for the end of summer 2025, shortly after the company began accepting deposits. Then, the phone's delivery date was pushed back three times—including in November and December 2025, and again in March 2026—until MoneyWise says the website where the delivery dates were shared took down the information.

It was 'coming out' about the time smart phones hit the market. He did promo videos and encourage 'house parties' for people to show his sales pitch to family and friends to invest in this 'fabulous opportunity' to be a part of the new technology back in 2008.

Donald Trump was recently deposed for a class action lawsuit that claims he misled investors into financially backing a multi-level marketing company that once sold a failed "videophone."

...

It claims that from 2005 to at least 2015, the Trump family and the company received "millions of dollars in secret payments to promote and endorse" ACN, a multi-level marketing company that specializes in telecommunications.

In exchange for the payments, Trump gave glowing endorsements for the company, the lawsuit alleged.
Discover Level Up

One of the flagship products ACN began to sell in 2008 and which Trump endorsed to convince the financial viability of the company was a "videophone." The lawsuit claims that the product was "essentially a desktop, wired telephone with a video screen and webcam in addition to the usual handset and keypad." It also required an internet connection and was only compatible with other ACN phones and subscriptions.

...

The videophone was quickly made obsolete by smartphones with video chat capabilities. Skype introduced video calling in 2006, and Apple would popularize video chat by installing a front-facing camera in its iPhone by 2010.

I know someone who hounded co-workers to come to her house party. I know who walked out as soon as Trump was mentioned. The hostess cashed in her 401K, paid the taxes on that mental error, and put a mortgage on her paid off home, just a few short years before she was planning to retire. There's some sound financial planning for you by a woman who held a responsible job that required decent thinking in the financial sector.

The 'Stable Genius' does know the rubes are with us always, I'll give him that. And the rubes have a VERY short attention span, obviously obscured by their hero worship and their own stupid greed.

It is not all that hard to buy a shitload of the cheapest cell phones you can possibly find, order a batch of gold-plated cell phone cases - I checked Amazon, you can buy one of them for $15 so "quantity one shitload" should be a lot less expensive per piece - hire some MAGAts to snap the phones into the cases, and claim that because the "final assembly" was done in the US (you know, the part where they snap the cheap phone into the cheap case) they are "made in the USA."

If they did it again, I'll bet 589,999 of those same 590,000 people would send $100 for the platinum version, which they will also never get.
