1. I guess, we need to give independents more of a reason to vote Democratic.

Maybe a Democratic “Contract with America”.

We sure as hell need to be something else besides The runner up, because Repub’s are turning everything into shit!

2. EXACTLY. But that requires Dems to work as a team

and actually agree on a set of principles. AIPAC gives $100,000,000 or so to Democrats each election cycle. It is hard to present any consistent party message when so many of the candidates are so tainted by dirty money. It isn't just AIPAC. It is big tech, it is the HC industry. It is defense contractors and so on.

Dems think they can win just by being against Trump. That may work in 2026, but it is not the way to win a governing majority. We must give voters reasons to vote FOR us. We must tell voters what we are really committed to doing.

23% support from independents? Every Democrat should be ashamed. This is terrible -- the proverbial "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory"

To these mouth breathing idiots, that are just smart enough to create wedge issues to beat us with at the ballot box.

I know Former House Speaker Tip O’Neill wasn’t progressive, but his speakership never yo-yo’d in and out. He would be pissed at how irresponsible the party is when dealing with its constituents and not being able to hold voters in the center.

5. The problem is, there are no "voters in the center"

There are voters who are engaged and voters who are playing fantasy football. "Centerism" has no meaning. It is the ABSENCE of any governing philosophy or policy foundation. And you cannot motivate ANYBODY from that position.

Yes, we do need to reach the disengaged, and give them reasons to engage. That does not mean presenting them nothingness -- nothing but vague, non-committal platitudes. That motivate nobody. It is harder to motivate the "center" aka the perennially disengaged. You can't do that the last 90 days with a good GOTV campaign. It requires education, and that is a 24x365 thing.

The DNC (or entities acting like they are official party reps) asks me for money literally every day, but they never, ever say what they are committed to doing with my money. Never. If they asked me for funding to develop Project 2026 and the money to train Democrats how to effectively sell that program, and a media campaign to educate Americans on what Democrats stand for, I'd open my checkbook right now. But that isn't what they do. Every Dem is a free agent.

6. They really can't afford to be too much of a free agent, if they're getting money from the DNC.

I mean the party needs some kind of control over candidates right?

4. The YouGov poll I find that was released today has different (worse for Trump) than you are citing.

Trump job approval: 35% Approve/58% Disapprove
DHS Shutdown 29% Democrats/36% Disapprove
Iran War 28% Support/59% Oppose
Ground Troops to Iran 14% Favor/62% Oppose

You can also see that at least 4% of respondents are total liars. 4% say that gas prices are going down in their area (which is not true anywhere).
