(132,425 posts)protest: "English is ARE language". Between that and "get a brain, morans", I just shake my head at these barely-literate, barely-sentient, wastes of oxygen.
Many years ago, there was picketing about some movie about jesus (I forget which one) from Universal Studios, and how indecent and sacreligious it was. For my own amusement, I went to see the protestors. Sure enough, one of the little dears had a sign about "unaversial studioes". Wanting to be helpful, I pointed out her errors. She snapped at me, "The spelling isn't important." I replied, "Well, if you want people to even begin to take you seriously, you should at least spell correctly what you are protesting. Pretty sure jesus would." I turned and went back to my car.

(814 posts)Hate to say it, but I am not surprised by the sign. OTOH, Binghamton University is a very good school with many students. Obviously this guy is not one of them.

(22,641 posts)I don't know if you have ever been to Binghamton University, so please forgive me if you have.
It's a nice campus that has improved a lot over the years. There is a nature preserve above the campus. The library tower is the tallest building on campus, and you can use that as a reference point if navigating around the grounds.
Extremely competitive school. Challenging, but fun.
It's located in Vestal, NY, on Route 434, which is also known as the Vestal Parkway. They recently installed a long pedestrian walkway that enables one to walk to Binghamton if so desired.
There's a ton of businesses along the parkway, and it gets more and more developed by the minute.
There are a lot of food options here.
If you like Italian, try Oaks Inn in Little Italy in Endicott. Maybe a 10 minute drive from BU, on Oak Hill Avenue. You would likely need a reservation.

(22,641 posts)there's a shitload of MAGA around here!
I knew a local business owner who was a diehard Democrat, but he presented as a Republican. He stated he was Republican, because all of his business associates were. But I knew him well, and he fucking hated Republicans. Most old time business owners around here are indeed Republican.
80% of the people I went to high school with are MAGA. It's depressing.
