Fifty-Seven people gathered at busiest intersection in town, the highway and road to Walmart.
It was a joyful occasion. Young and old folks. Lots of laughs and handshakes.
Mostly positive reactions from cars driving by. Always thanked from our group with shouts and applause.
We were mooned by one woman going by in the front passenger seat of a pickup and got one shout of "Go Back to Mexico" (there were no Hispanics in sight). Our group responded appropriately with gales of laughter.
It was encouraging. Maybe - just maybe - folks in this red county have had enough.

(14,259 posts)It really helps make us protesters feel like there are more of us and the honks and waves are at least 75% of the vehicles going by. There are a lot of locals who still support the beast. They flip us off or shake their heads 'no' as though we're the idiots.

..a record for us. I would say over 50:1 positive with about 3 dozen finger flingers. We had a great time in a beautiful day.
