Last year our debt increased 2 trillion dollars. Our debt is now 134% of our GDP, our GDP can't pay the interest on our debt.
Our debt is 39.1 trillion dollars, I just can't wait to see how those Magat "conservatives" balance the budget in 2026.
Remember when those Republican conservatives talked about the debt every damn day? Now we have a Gestapo police force that has a higher budget than our military and the "conservatives" just created a partial shutdown unless we give the Gestapo more money.
We are spending a billion dollars a day on a war our president chose to start and now he wants 200 billion more dollars to continue this war.
Our debt to GDP is 134% which means that our debt in the future is going to increase at a faster pace.
I'm guessing that my post about our debt will be the first and last time it is mentioned, haven't seen it in the MSM yet, guess we will have to wait until we ever get a Democratic president to see "conservatives" talk about it?
I never worried about our debt when our GDP covered it, it is way off from covering it now. Isn't consumer spending 70% of our GDP? How will AI make up that difference when AI takes all of our jobs?

(40,956 posts)There's our problem. Everything we do is for short term gain. Republicans like to say the country started to go downhill when we turned our backs on God, & I like to remind them, "Nothing says who your God is like putting IN GOD WE TRUST on your currency." Everything for profit is going to kill everything good & beautiful, & you can take that to the bank.
