I bet his district is fool-proof gerrymandered. It runs adjacent to TX CD 1 LeftInTX 7 hrs ago #4

They'll face off in the primaries in April, while Johnson faces the GOP primary. This will be the first closed primaries in Louisiana for a decade

With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+26, it is the most Republican district in Louisiana.[4]

The district spans the Texas border.

And is even more GOP leaning than TX CD 1, which is one of the most GOP districts in Texas. (Louie Gomer's old district)

Usually congressional party leaders are selected from safe districts, so that they aren't voted out. Although Eric Cantor was voted out by a Tea Party primary opponent.

We're better off focusing on other races, so that Johnson will be neutered by a Democratic majority!
