2. I think of the children in my classes over my many years of teaching who had dyslexia and their

incredible effort and perseverance. I think of them and my other students who had autism, Down’s syndrome, or had severe hearing loss. These precious children taught me so much more than I ever taught them and all of us in our classroom were lucky to share their special light. It is an abomination that we are subjected to the vile depths of this hideous, ignorant ghoul spewing hate and cruelty all day, every day. Thank you for sharing Governor Newsom’s perfect response. I choke up thinking about President Biden and how much he reached out personally and empathetically to folks who had to overcome stuttering as he did. Sometimes the contrast just moves you to tears. We have to keep resisting, insisting, persisting whenever and however we can.
