Hassett downplays a terrible February jobs report: "It's about what we expect to be seeing because immigration has gone down by so much that the breakeven employment is probably in the 30,000 or 40,000 jobs a month range. The economy is really strong."

That's off the books employment. The unseen economy. These are on the books jobs that have disappeared during the survey period. The unemployment number is driven by people filing for unemployment compensation. Undocumented people CAN'T DO THAT YOU MORON! What the hell he means by "breakeven point" is beyond me. Whaaa???!!

Ass-ett is doing his best Baghdad Bob imitation. Or perhaps Kevin Bacon in Animal House.

due to illegal workers either being deported or simply staying off the job sites.

The logic being that those jobs still have to be done so employers needed to hire legal residents and citizens to fill them.

It is very telling that those jobs did not increased the number of employed and counted workers in the USA ( either because the job went unfilled due to cost OR because the employer will get by with fewer workers for now waiting until they can bring back the illegal immigrants as lower cost after ICE leaves the area ).

one who lies with a smile, as if to say, we are really sticking it to you.

The goal he is talking about is transitioning from the dollar to Bitcoin or cyber-currency, this is why they want a weak dollar.

9. So I took a couple of econ courses in college

gave them the answers they wanted... and was begged to switch majors to be a "business econ" major at my university ( not to brag but I had a natural ability with math and logic ).

And I told the professor that wanted me to switch from "hard science" to econ that their field, as far as I could tell, was complete bullshit and I explained in detail why that was so. He was like "yeah, but you will do great here!"

Kevin is the living epitome of my evaluation of economics. Mostly bullshit wrapped up in statistics and some math. A field for mostly idiots that cannot cut being actual scientists.

There are a few exceptions. Kevin isn't one of them.
