Didn't care for the robo-music based first couple minutes.
When the music took on a more distinct Latin flavor, I enjoyed it much more.

I was in attendance as my company is couple minutes from Levis. Been to a few stupid bowls in my life. Sound was not the greatest in person and most people around me just standing around. Lots going on I'm sure watching at home was more entertaining.

I came away with three thoughts.

1). I didn't understand much but I realized I would definitely want to be invited to that party- all positive vibes.

2). I AM going to learn Spanish!

3). I've got to learn to dance.

It wasn't just the usual singers with or without back-up dancers. That's not to say I didn't love the performer. He was terrific! I'm betting he gained millions of new fans last night.

I can see where it could seem jarring to some folks, the camera perspective switch between the crowd experience and a more intimate audience experience at times could take one out of the performance a bit, but I still enjoyed it.

I loved the PR/Latin cultural aspects of it, loved the read wedding in the middle, loved the celebrity cameos (Pedro!), loved that 95% of it in untranslated Spanish (I had CC on) was a giant middle finger to MAGA, and the production was impressive, but I'm not a huge fan of Reggaeton/Rap en Espanol. I knew a few of the songs from Bad Bunny's SNL appearances.

TBH, I think the entire half-time show ritual is overblown and takes too long. I'm watching for the football.

10. Never watch super bowl halftime shows

Not to disparage the halftime entertainers, but I tuned in to watch a football game. I did/do not want to watch a variety show for a half hour waiting for the second half. Not singing, dancing or stupid idiotic commercials which I hate almost all with a passion all 365 days of the year.
As soon as second quarter ends I switch channel to something else. When a commercial comes on I generally mute it or do a quick channel check.
I am not alone on this but I have yet to have heard this opposing view on tv, especially not on sports shows talking about the super bowl. Duh, I guess.
There are a relatively few commercials which are admirable, such as elephants walking about to the tune 'what a wonderful world', but they are overshadowed by the other 95% of lawyer and ambulance chasers, auto, home and health insurances, Medicare scams, health scams, ad nauseum.
My vote for utterly stupidest tv commercial for 2025 was to Geico. There is a guy dining at a table and a waiter comes along with a grater and a cheese ball and starts to grate cheese with the request for the diner to 'Say When'. The cut scene appears with the diner covered to the neck with grated cheese while the waiter is still flopping it onto him.
Asinine, an insult to our intelligence, as if a waiter would grate $50 worth of cheese onto a customer and as if the guy would sit there and allow it.
A counterproductive commercial for any intelligent being, tho I long ago vowed never ever to sign up for anything geico. Talking animal to boot.
