Shinedown, others drop out of Kid Rock's MAGA tour, not wanting to "create further division"

As Kid Rock prepares to lead Turning Point USA’s alt-Super Bowl halftime show, his ‘Rock the World’ tour has lost another performer.

On Friday, alt-rock band Shinedown dropped out of the lineup out of concern it would “create further division,” given the Rock’s MAGA ties and his current headlining spot on TPUSA’s ‘The All-American Halftime Show‘.

“SHINEDOWN is everyone’s band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song,” the group wrote in a statement. “We have one BOSS, and it is everyone in the audience. Our band’s purpose is to unite, not divide. With that in mind, we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock The Country Festival.”
