About the Epstein-Nassar letter:

I would ask whether he had ever written to Nassar before and whether they had a regular correspondence. If not, then it is unlikely he would write to Nassar at all, or say such things as "nubile women" and "grabbing snatch."

I worry that the Trump protectors will plant documents that they can prove false in order to discredit all the real ones. Since Epstein was in prison waiting for trial for sex trafficking of young girls, it seems odd (and not that likely) that he would write such things to an infamous abuser of young women unless they already were corresponding, and perhaps not even then. If he & Nassar were not already pen pals, he also would not seem likely to announce to him an intention to commit suicide.

Also, since this letter is one of the most salacious documents, discrediting it would do a lot for Trump.

These are easy questions to ask and should be asked before automatically accepting this letter. At the very least handwriting comparisons should be made.

That is before any intentional malfeasance/misinformation-planting on the part of DOJ partisan goons. Add that in, and it is a minefield.

So yeah, people should be skeptical and not run with every single salacious detail which confirms their priors. At least not without thinking. Some of that stuff will be bunk, and make them look foolish.

but if the DOJ or anyone in the administration says something is fake, I'm going to believe it is more than likely true because we know they lie about EVERYTHING.

Because someone wanted people to believe that it was a suicide note - that he took his own life. Which would indicate there was something else going on?

And why did the DOJ put out the note to the public if they knew it was "fake"?

If by "fake" they mean it wasn't written by Epstein, then we would agree that it is "fake".

But, who wrote it? And why did they write it?

It supported the suicide narrative....which I do not believe.

And it muddied the waters. I believe there will be more smoke and mirrors and misdirection.

Mail outgoing and incoming is thoroughly vetted. You can't seal an envelope the staff reads it to insure it meets security standards before anybody outside gets a look at it. Jailers might get a kick out of dirty talk but given the nature of Epsitine's case one would think some alarm bells might have gone off. Even though they clearly didn't in relation to his death

Meidas Touch Network talks about this in the first 8 minutes of this video. If I got it right, the released letter has been discredited, but how it was vetted is unknown. Apparently there is record of a letter that has not been made public.
