Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), one of the lawmakers behind the push to release the Jeffrey Epstein files, raged at the Trump Justice Department on Tuesday for not releasing FBI interview files that include the names of other men accused of sexual misconduct.
This is what its all aboutthe FBI interviews with the survivors. You know what is appalling? Youve got Justice releasing the names of survivors. Theyre literally releasing the names of survivors, which theyre not allowed to do by law, but theyre now releasing the FBI interview files with those same survivors, Khanna fumed, adding:
And the FBI interview files have the names of other men. They have the names of the Wall Street tycoons, the politicians who visited Epsteins rape island and who either engaged in the rape of these underage girls or covered it up.
How do I know? Because Ive talked to the survivors. Ive talked to the survivors lawyers who were at the FBI interviews, who gave these names. Were saying release them. But you have the Department of Justice more concerned with protecting the reputations of these men than they are protecting the reputation of these survivors. So, you know, I hope everyone listens to your 90 seconds, because thats what its all about.

(2,695 posts)i.e. they were instructed to have sex with Epstein's rich friends. Even if they don't name names. Two or three would be even better.
To date, Guiffre remains the only known victim to publicly claim they were passed around like party favors for rich pervs. So it would majorly advance the public understanding (especially for myself, because I'm rather hung up on this particular point) if a number of them came out and made that clear assertion.
Obviously they're not obliged, I'm sure it's tough to talk about and if they just don't want to, fine. But I've long hoped a group of them would do so, and put what I think is a significant question to rest. That question is whether it's possible that Guiffre was the only one he did that with? She herself never even claimed to have direct knowledge of him having done so with other victims, and she basically lived with JE/GM, flew all over the place with them, for like a year, IIRC.

(2,695 posts)None of them said they were passed around to Epstein's rich buddies like Giuffre said she was. Not even "in so many words". If you go into it with the mindset that this is known fact, that this happened, then yeah, it kinda sounds like they're backing up your thinking, but if you pay close attention, objectively, they never do there.
And in fact, none of them ever have.
Consider also this fact: Carolyn A. the girl (at the time) that Maxwell was convicted of trafficking to Epstein in her 2022 trial, said she went over Epstein's at LEAST 100 times, from age 14 to 18 (she was one of the youngest of all victims).
Maxwell's lawyers asked her, point blank, on the stand in that criminal trial, under oath, whether JE/GM directed her to have sex with any other men. Again, over 100 times, over a span of 3+ years, she was there. She said "something sexual" happened EVERY time.
And her answer to that question? Was "no".
So, all we actually know is that Guiffre asserted that she was passed around in this fashion. Which would mean we already HAVE "The List", and have since less the day before Epstein killed himself, which was the day the 2015 Maxwell defamation trial transcripts were released publicly. Even that, as you allude to elsewhere, may not be accurate in terms of the individuals, because other than Andrew, she did not know these men. There are "guesses" there, which she's admitted to.
To my mind, the entire "pedo cabal where minor girls were shared among Epstein's rich friends" remains (for the moment) a sensationalistic storyline and CT, backed by the statements of one single person. And even then, in fact, VG never claimed to know first hand about OTHER victims being sent to other men, just herself. So SHE hadn't, strictly speaking, backed the CT either.
I think it's logical to suppose she may have been the only one that this was true about.

(39,999 posts)The perps' name need to all come out en masse - as a group. That would ameliorate any threat of lawsuits from ultra-wealthy people who can wield their legal power. That's the fear here, the big nasty lawsuits from people who think they're going to skate.

(8,744 posts)And the number of victims who have spoken publicly (without naming names) is extremely small (pretty sure it's less than 50 while there are supposedly over 1000 victims) so even if the victims who have spoken publicly named everybody they knew, it still wouldn't likely come close to being complete. Also, keep in mind, Virginia Giuffre named some people in depostions for lawsuits (both her suing other people and other people suing her) but if you look at the depositions, you'll see even she couldn't name everybody. I would expect many of the victims would not know the names of all the men they were trafficked to.
