Maria Shriver: "Can we not see what is happening here? Wake up! This is not dignified. This is not funny."

'Downright weird': Kennedy family tears into Trump for 'insult' to JFK's legacy

https://www.rawstory.com/alternet-posts/kennedy-family-trump/

Maria Shriver, the former First Lady of California, wrote: “The Kennedy Center was named after my uncle, President John F Kennedy.”

She called the renaming “beyond comprehension,” “beyond wild,” “downright weird,” and “obsessive in a weird way,” while explaining that the Kennedy Center was named in honor of a man who was interested in the arts, culture, education, language, and history.

“Next thing perhaps he will want to rename JFK Airport, rename the Lincoln Memorial, the Trump Lincoln Memorial. The Trump Jefferson Memorial. The Trump Smithsonian. The list goes on.”

“Can we not see what is happening here? C’mon, my fellow Americans! Wake up! This is not dignified. This is not funny,” she said. “Just when you think [someone] can’t stoop any lower, down they go…”

He may envy or wish to be like someone.
Or want their power and money.

But it is not love or respect.

Trump wishes he were like JFK in terms of the respect and admiration JFK got.

and that's why getting rid of him won't cure the problem. It's miller and noem and kesbreath, and just about everyone else in his cabinet and departments. They're all either demented like him, psychopathic, or marinated in faux-religious gender roles. We need to clean house of ALL of them, and their minions. Period.

Yes. We see it. The problem is 34% of the population and republicans in the Congress either can’t see it or don’t care.

Republicans in Congress are terrified to utter a peep that is not in praise of Dear Leader.

The 34% think it's a laff riot every time Trump pisses someone off.

They see it. They don't care.

Justice matters.

And so far, it's been pretty damned effective. One of Trump's "skills," being a predator, is seeking out weak people and immediately identifying their most severe vulnerabilities. Then, he exploits it, they cower in fear, and back off.

Yeah, right.

Trumplethinskin knows his days are numbered--either politically or literally--and is in a desperate race to see his name on everything before it happens.

I hope he gets to see his name chiseled off of these places of honor and reinstalled on urinals throughout the country.

In a way it is kind of nice of him to leave us plenty of things to cheer about cathartically as we take them down--kind of like when they toppled the statue of Saddam Hussein.

imagine the joy we'll have watching the Felon suffer the complete and humiliating erasure of his existence. He will be the world's biggest damn target. Every imaginable way the world can think of to make all of his greatest fears come true. No amount of Secret Service can protect his already frail ego from the humiliations that will come his way.

The only way for him to avoid it will be if Putin builds a bunker with no ability to receive live broadcasts. Nothing printed after 2026 will be given to him. No contact from the outside world. In his mind he'll think he's avoided consequences when in fact, he has been isolated in his own self made prison.
At least it's a nice thought I've had.

Since he was trying to prevent California from competing in the gerrymandering rigging. If we had listened to old Arnold, we might not be able to reduce this TYRANT’s power in the House in 2026.

Yes, Maria, it has never been funny. The Kennedy’s should have been a lot more vocal in heeding warnings. Being a class act and statesmen-like is not needed in a time like this—dissent is not a spectator sport.
