Katie Price's ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, has been charged with raping a 13-year-old girl, police have said. The 38-year-old, of Northchapel in West Sussex, has been charged with three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, Sussex Police said.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at an address in West Sussex in 2016. Mr Hayler has been released under investigation and is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates' Court on 19 November.

Police said the girl had been receiving support from specially-trained officers as inquiries continued. The alleged victim is not part of Mr Hayler's or Ms Price's extended families.

Ms Price married Mr Hayler in the Bahamas in 2013, but the couple later divorced. The now 47-year-old announced on social media in 2014 that they were separating, though news reports at the time suggested their relationship did not end then.
