He has his minions telling media that 'he is staying' past 2028.

Stinky Bannon was telling Bill Maher that trump would be staying after 2028.

I'll fight that with everything I have left in me.

I don't trust them. And if they DO find that, what if Trump just gives them the finger? Ya think Congress would do anything?

Trump is not omnipotent, and the states and the people are not powerless

SCOTUS would be signing their own death warrants, power wise, if they were to rule that “two” doesn’t actually mean “two”.

Multiple states, red ones included, would ignore them and refuse to put Trump on the ballot.

It’s not going to happen.

With all ballots counted... Would he win? I have little faith in the 77 or whatever million of people who did.

And we all know that he will do manipulative things and lie leading up to election and that will get support. Like making up low crime numbers, low unemployment numbers, lift tariffs, etc

On January 20, 2029 (at the latest) a new president and VP, neither of whom will be named Trump, will be sworn in, and they will immediately become commander in chief of the military, and Donald Trump’s reign of error and terror will come to an end.

Even if Trump attempts to interfere with the certification of electoral votes, the constitution provides for the installation of an acting president from the ranks of congress or the cabinet.

The only way this won’t happen is if there is a military coup, which would require mass acts of treason by millions of service members.

Don’t buy into media mythology- remember this one absolute truth:

Trump is not omnipotent, and the states and the people are not powerless

Trump has been packing the courts and steadily replacing top military commanders with loyalists.

It is folly, IMO, to believe he cannot seize power. He can. Our system depends upon people acting in good faith. Will he? That remains to be seen.

It weakens our ability to resist and fight the actual fascism occuring daily.

Our system depends upon people acting in good faith.

That is incomplete; the actual tenet is:

Our system depends upon people acting in good faith, even when others do not

Do you imagine the states will sit by idly while Trump seizes a third term?

They will not.

Donald Trump will not be the 2028 GOP nominee, and he will never appear on a state’s presidential ballot again. His presidency will end on January 20, 2029, if not sooner. The military will not commit mass acts of treason to keep him in power.
