(41,819 posts)To think some might be real is that the shooter almost always turns out to have some rw connection, either with family or voting registration.
The optics of your own supporters trying to kill your are not good.
It is no big surprise that those who voted for him are angry that he lied to get their vote. He has nothing planned for them in the way of affordable living. Their big thing was Epstein and we all know where thats at.

(41,819 posts)Would also have some independents because that voting group is as big as that of the political parties.
They would also have a substantial number of non voters. I believe only 61% of the eligible adult population votes.
So now the choice of what those relatives might be has been watered down considerably, yet Republican is always there.
Its a matter of consistency out of a wider stream of the political makeup.

(9,174 posts)Trump wasn't "shot."
He has no scarring. He either got nicked by some glass debris, but blood from the actual victim.

(44,310 posts)There's still been no clear motive disclosed for the shooter, who was a registered Republican. We might never know--from the bits that came out before Trump took office, I heard he was also looking at targeting President Biden, meaning he might have wanted to simply create chaos. But who knows.
I do not believe Trump was actually struck by a bullet. I believe he was struck by debris caused by a bullet, but I don't think an actual bullet struck him. His injuries--even with an almost miraculous glancing blow--would have been much worse.
Trump has played up the incident like a fiddle for everything it's worth.

(10,634 posts)Were they actual U.S. Secret Service members? Does anyone here know?
Because I have a relative who was in the SS for years back in the 70's and 80's and the fact that they stopped scooping him up to take time to get his shoes with the lifts in them and let him pose for pictures is dicey.

(250 posts)Someone was shot and killed as was the shooter so I cannot say it was faked. But I will say that the orange asshole was not shot and the whole thing was staged. Not sure what the shooter thought he was doing but he did not shoot the felon.
Just look at his ear in the Time magazine cover that he hates so much and tell me that ear was ever traumatized.

(19,002 posts)I can't imagine that in a truly dangerous situation, a secret service detail would allow their charge to stand up and scream in full view of any other possible shooter.
And for those who think it was real because someone was killed....when has that man ever cared about any human life but his own? Given who he is surrounded with, I do believe he'd be just fine with one of his supporters taking a bullet for a photo op.
